Jaiden Zimmerman Obituary, Clyde, NY Accident Death: Clyde Community Mourns Loss of 16-Year-Old
With deep sorrow, the Clyde community is mourning the tragic death of 16-year-old Jaiden Zimmerman, who lost his life in a head-on collision Friday morning, April 10, 2026, on State Route 414 in Seneca County.
According to the New York State Police, the crash occurred around 8:55 a.m. in the town of Tyre when Zimmerman’s 2020 Chevrolet Equinox crossed into the northbound lane on a slight curve and collided head-on with a tractor-trailer. Zimmerman, the only occupant of the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the tractor-trailer was unharmed, and authorities confirmed there were no signs of impairment.
Jaiden was known throughout Clyde and the surrounding areas not only as a dedicated volunteer with North Seneca Ambulance but also as an EMT student. At the time of the crash, he was on his way to a clinical experience shift, continuing his path toward a career in emergency medical services.
In a statement, North Seneca Ambulance described Jaiden as a compassionate, hardworking young man who “gave countless hours in service” to his community and always exhibited a genuine desire to help others.
“Jaiden consistently showed up with dedication, compassion, and a genuine desire to help others,” the agency said. “His commitment will not be forgotten.”
As news of his death spreads, family, friends, classmates, and first responders are left to grieve the loss of a young life full of promise, kindness, and service. Jaiden Zimmerman will be deeply missed and forever remembered with love, respect, and sorrow.
