Marissa Marie Carstensen Obituary Elkhorn Death: Gone Too Soon

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of 12-year-old Marissa Marie Carstensen on April 7, 2026. Her time with us was tragically short, but the love she shared and the joy she brought to those around her will remain etched in our hearts forever.

Marissa was a bright and radiant young girl, known for her kindness, her warm heart, and the light she brought into every life she touched. Though young, she possessed a remarkable capacity for compassion, and her gentle presence created lasting memories for family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her laughter and love were gifts that will never be forgotten.

She is preceded in death by her father, Kevin Carstensen; her grandfather, Roger Britten; her grandparents, Deb and Steve Uarich; and her beloved aunt, Bootsie. As she joins them, we find comfort in the belief that they are reunited in peace.

Marissa is survived by her loving mother, Jenna (Dane) Uarich; her sisters, Leah Carstensen and Berkly Uarich; her grandparents, Jim and Joan; as well as many other family members and friends who cherished her deeply. Her life, though brief, was filled with love, and that love continues to surround her memory.

Described by all who knew her as a kind and caring soul, Marissa had an uncanny ability to make everyone feel valued and loved. Her spirit and innocence made her a true light in the world, and her presence will be missed by all.

In this time of mourning, those who loved Marissa find solace in the cherished memories of her and the love she gave so freely. Her legacy of kindness, joy, and love will continue to live on in their hearts forever.
