A quiet early morning was shattered by violence as authorities investigate a fatal shooting that claimed the life of a 36-year-old man on Monday.

At approximately 2:00 a.m., police officers and emergency responders were dispatched to the intersection of Bartlett Road and Watts Road following reports of gunfire and a vehicle crash. Upon arrival, officials discovered a BMW 530i that had veered off the roadway and collided with a tree.

The driver, identified as Shaunterrio Hudson, was found inside the vehicle suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite the rapid response of emergency personnel, Hudson was pronounced dead at the scene.

Preliminary findings indicate that Hudson had been traveling along Watts Road when an unknown individual or individuals fired multiple shots through the driver’s side window of his vehicle. The gunfire is believed to have caused Hudson to lose control, ultimately resulting in the crash.
