According to the Kentucky State Police, troopers were called to the scene shortly after 5 a.m. following reports of a serious two-vehicle crash. Preliminary findings indicate that Mr. Parson was traveling westbound on Happy Valley Road when, for reasons still under investigation, his vehicle crossed the center line and collided with an oncoming commercial truck.
The commercial vehicle was driven by 32-year-old Rayen Hicks of Sellersburg, Indiana. Officials confirmed that no additional fatalities occurred in the crash.
Emergency responders from the Barren County EMS, the Barren County Sheriff’s Office, and the Barren County Coroner’s Office arrived quickly at the scene. Despite their efforts, Timothy Parson was pronounced deceased at the location by the coroner.
