A Greenville man tragically lost his life in an ATV accident in Mercer County over the weekend.
According to a crash report, the incident occurred on Billy Boyd Road, just east of McDougal Road, on Saturday evening, April 11, shortly before 9 p.m.
Troopers from the Mercer County PSP reported that 42-year-old Chad Bromley was unable to navigate a curve while operating a 2021 Polaris RZR XP ATV. The vehicle then struck a ditch and an embankment, causing it to overturn. Bromley was partially ejected from the ATV, which landed on top of him.
Emergency responders pronounced Bromley dead at the scene. Assistance was provided by EmergencyCare EMS, the Sheakleyville Fire Department, and Leonard’s Towing.
This tragic accident highlights the dangers of ATV riding, and the community continues to mourn the loss of Chad Bromley.
