According to Louisiana State Police Troop I, the accident occurred at around 8 p.m. on Louisiana Highway 95 near Wikoff Cove Drive, close to Church Point. Authorities reported that Hayden was riding a Honda ATV heading north when it was struck from behind by an Audi, under circumstances still being investigated. The collision caused the ATV to flip, throwing the young rider from the vehicle.
Troopers noted that the ATV’s lights were not on at the time of the incident. Hayden sustained fatal injuries and was declared dead at the scene. Despite the swift arrival of emergency responders, efforts to save his life were unsuccessful.
